One-day online interactive conference will bring product designers, developers and suppliers together to advance "Sustainability through Design"

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - November 19, 2010 - Outdoor Retailer today announced registration is now open for the inaugural Virtual Design Center LIVE (VDC), a one-day online, interactive seminar for product designers and developers. VDC LIVE will be held December 7 (12-7 p.m. Eastern Time), and attendance is free for all designers and developers.

VDC LIVE is the first in a series of virtual trade shows to be produced by Outdoor Retailer. The theme of the VDC's first edition is "Sustainability through Design." Attendees will participate in live panel discussions and listen to experts in the field of sustainable materials in the VDC Virtual Auditorium, search through interactive supplier displays in the Virtual Exhibit Hall, and network in the Virtual Lounge.

"During VDC Live, designers and product developers will be able seek out and learn about the latest in sustainable material developments," said Kenji Haroutunian, Outdoor Retailer show director. "It's a fast-moving and changing landscape. Staying on top of trends in sustainable design will help designers build smarter, lower impact products that brands and consumers need while shrinking their environmental footprint."
