IDEA Launches New Client Challenges Tool on IDEA FitnessConnect

Fitness professionals can challenge their clients to adopt healthy behaviors and achieve fitness goals for free utilizing never-before-available technology

San Diego – August 7, 2012 –IDEA Health & Fitness Association the world's leading organization of fitness and wellness professionals that creates products, tools and solutions to educate and grow the fitness industry, recently launched an innovative free tool on IDEA FitnessConnect™ that makes it easy for fitness professionals to create fun and engaging challenges for their clients.
Utilizing a new iPhone app and website called ChallengeLoop™, IDEA's Client Challenges tool combines the power of challenges with the effectiveness of coaching. Fitness professionals can create individual or group challenges for their clients to help them achieve their goals and stay motivated to exercise and eat healthy. They can also choose from already developed health and fitness-related challenge ideas from sponsors like SPRI® Products, , Subway®, Reebok®, TRX®, and G Series FIT™. Clients are able to post photos and videos of themselves competing in the challenge as it unfolds, while the fitness professional can follow along, rooting them on, giving them advice, and rewarding them with prizes. The tool makes challenges more effective for the client and gives the fitness professional a way to interact with their clients on a more regular basis outside of training sessions.
“Fitness professionals often have specific goals they want their clients to achieve but have struggled to find an effective and fun way to partner with them on their journey,” says IDEA executive director Kathie Davis. “The Client Challenges tool gives fitness professionals a powerful way to help clients stay on track while providing support and encouragement along the way.”

Launched in 2010, IDEA FitnessConnect (www.ideafit.com/fitnessconnect) is the largest directory of fitness professionals in the world, connecting more than 16 million consumers to more than 250,000 fitness professionals.
