Hilleberg the Tentmaker proudly recognizes that this year marks its 35th anniversary of making high quality, lightweight all-season tents for outdoor adventures of all kinds. Outdoor Retailer show attendees are invited to the company's anniversary party and tent giveaway on Sunday, August 10 at 4 p.m., booth #10012.

Founded in 1973 by Bo and Renate Hilleberg, the company has set the benchmark in making tents for the most demanding users. “We have always strived to make the best and lightest tents possible without compromising safety and comfort,” said Bo Hilleberg, Founder and Chairman of the Board. “To still be doing what we are so passionate about after 35 years and to be able to keep the company in our family gives us great pleasure.”

After years of hard work and perfecting their skill, the Hillebergs recently passed on management of the company to their children Petra and Rolf Hilleberg, who are dedicated to employing the same demanding quality standards and rigorous design principles that have been in place from the beginning.

“Our parents' ethics and pioneering attitudes have shaped us and taught us how to continue the legacy of Hilleberg tents,” said Petra Hilleberg, President of Hilleberg USA. “Our tents have much of the same design as they did a decade ago, and exactly the same design brief as they have had since Hilleberg's inception 35 years ago. We still believe they represent the most functional design in backcountry shelter solutions available.”

The company will be hosting an anniversary party with food and libations at their booth on Sunday starting at 4 p.m. They will be giving away one of their most popular tents, the Soulo, that same evening at 4:30 p.m. (must be present to win). Show attendees can fill out entry forms for the tent giveaway at the Hilleberg booth Friday through Sunday. In addition, original founders and current board members Bo and Renate Hilleberg will be in town from Sweden and welcome the opportunity to meet with old friends and new at the Hilleberg booth.
