Gregory, the leading pack maker for over 35 years, has named Frontier Equipment as its Australian distributor. Founded by industry veterans Dean Orange and Ben Ryan, Frontier Equipment has over 35 years of experience working with premium brands in the outdoor industry. They will focus on connecting Gregory with outdoor customers in greater Australia.

“Australia represents a significant growth opportunity for Gregory,” states Dion Goldsworthy, Director of International Sales. “With an active outdoor culture, demand for high-quality products, and a strong partner in Frontier Equipment, the Australian market will continue building the momentum that is currently propelling Gregory.”

Australians are notoriously tough on their gear, and very picky when it comes to technical packs. If a brand is not designed from the ground up to be used in harsh environments, then it will not resonate with the core outdoor community in Australia. In addition to the high quality construction, Gregory’s fit philosophy and approach to pack carrying biomechanics are anticipated to resonate strongly with core Australian trekkers and climbers.

"We are really excited to be working with Gregory,” said Frontier co-founder Ben Ryan. “It is a brand with a huge amount of credibility and 2013 is the perfect time to launch the Gregory brand in Australia given the hot-streak of awards that are coming in from Outside for the Alpaca luggage and for the Targhee ski pack from ISPO.”

Gregory will officially be launched at the SOTA Outdoor Trade Show in Canberra - May 5-7 2013, and shortly afterwards will start to be sold through premium outdoor specialty retailers.
