AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (November 15, 2007) â€“ After a 66% jump in revenues in 2007 and the subsequent growth in personnel and operations, Gramicci announced today it has moved to larger headquarters named the Gramicci â€œGlobal Habitat,â€ located in the historic Hill section of Agoura California.
Gramicci, lead by industry veteran and president Marty Weening, has successfully completed two of a five stage Strategic Brand Initiative that included more space to accommodate the Company's rapid growth. This growth has translated into the revival of an icon climbing brand that 25 years ago originated lifestyle outdoor apparel.
"The Global Habitat was so named because it represents the spirit of the people who work at Gramicci. It is a home away from home that is creative and comfortable. It will serve us well in our ongoing quest to bring new, Gramicci never the norm products that invigorate both our targeted retailer and consumer,â€ states Weening.
GREENICCI, Gramicci's all organic/recycled collection has been a significant part of the company's growth since its debut in Spring 2006 and now represents nearly 30% of the overall revenue. Marty Weening says â€œGREENICCI represents Gramicci's growing consciousness and commitment towards reducing its negative footprint on the environment. Action on this critical matter is long overdue. The destruction of our natural habitat must stop. With a focus effort towards that end Gramicci will continue to make more of its products from organic and recycled materials.â€
