Salt Lake City, Utah (January 8, 2010) – Woolrich, the Original Outdoor Clothing Company®, is celebrating its 180th anniversary at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in style – in plaid, of course.
As the originator of buffalo check plaid (circa 1850), the historic style that’s also the hottest style of the season, Woolrich is inviting all Outdoor Retailer attendees to ‘Get Your Plaid On’ … and earn a chance to add the best of Woolrich to your closet and the top of your car.
By wearing plaid to the Woolrich booth (#20001-19001) at any time in the first two days of the show, attendees will be entered to win a custom selection of Woolrich garments as well as a Woolrich-designed Thule rooftop carrier. The grand prizes, in addition to a plaid-tastic collection of other Woolrich goodies, will be given away during the “Get Your Plaid On” Party on Friday, January 22, 2010, at the Woolrich booth from 5-6 pm. Must be present to win.
The buffalo check Thule rooftop carrier is the same design to be featured in the fall 2010 Woolrich “Heritage Holiday Display” contest. In that unique competition, Woolrich retailers will compete to win one of 15 distinctive plaid Thule rooftop carriers – one in each sales territory – as well as the keys to a one year lease of a Woolrich-edition Subaru Outback.
“Get Your Plaid On” festivities at Outdoor Retailer begin Thursday with the Woolrich Anniversary Happy Hour, hosted from 5-6 pm at the Woolrich booth. At the Anniversary Happy Hour, Woolrich will unveil the Woolrich 180th Birthday cake. Immediately following the Anniversary Happy Hour, Woolrich will spotlight their heritage-inspired collection at the Outdoor Retailer Fashion Show.
