September 7, 2011 â€“ Boulder, Colo. â€“ Registration is now open for the first Skiing Business webinar scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. MST.
The roughly 45-minute webinar, entitled "New Communication Strategies for In-Store Promotions: Early Season Tips to get People in the Door," explores social media and grassroots programs to motivate customers to visit your stores during the early season.
The first topic will be split into two parts. The first, which will be presented Sept. 14, will feature Ben Friedland, Whole Foods Market's Rocky Mountain marketing coordinator, and John Faris, Red Door Interactive's online acquisition director.
Both will spend 15 minutes presenting applicable case studies from outside the snowsports industry. Following the combined 30-minute presentation, the webinar moderator will open it up for a 15-minute Q&A.
"Many retailers we talked to wanted to know what other businesses outside the ski industry were doing to be successful," says Ryan Dionne, Skiing Business editor. "So we found presenters who could do just that while tying it into snowsports."
