KANSAS CITY, MO.—GE (NYSE: GE) today celebrated its customer, Original Mountain Marathon’s (OMM), award of the prestigious 5-star rating for one of its waterproof breathable jackets from Trail magazine. This top rating is given to less than 10 percent of the products reviewed.
Reviewer Graham Thompson raved about the products saying “The design is free of too many seams as these add weight and reduce breathability. The hood is particularly good as it has a large wired peak, and the fit and movement with the head are outstanding.”
The award winning product also benefitted from using GE’s award-winning eVent® Fabrics collection of waterproof-breathable fabrics.Thompson noted:
“But perhaps the most important feature is the fabric – eVent, a well-proven material that has excellent breathability and durability, due in part to its three-layer construction. So in terms of condensation it is far better than all the two-layer fabrics such as Gore Paclite for example.”
