Monticello, UT – Four Corners School of Outdoor Education, a regional non-profit conservation organization, thanks Outdoor Industry leaders Katadyn, Larabar, SNEWS, Fendler Communications and TyRy Inc, all of whom recently attended our 2nd Annual Outdoor Industry Leaders Trip. Immediately after Summer Outdoor Retailer 2010, Four Corners School led an exciting rafting trip down the San Juan River for representatives from leading Outdoor Industry companies. Together, participants decompressed after OR, learned more about the Colorado Plateau and Four Corners' mission to create lifelong outdoor learners. Outdoor Industry professionals interested in participating in 2011 can visit www.FourCornersSchool.org and contact jross@FourCornersSchool.org for more information.

Beginning in 2008, Four Corners School hosted leading Outdoor Industry companies after Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. Professionals from Katadyn Group, Gregory, Adventure Medical Kits, TyRy Inc, Fendler Communications, Larabar, SNEWS, Out N Back, and other leading Outdoor Industry companies have accompanied Four Corners School down the river, into cliff dwellings, and onto the site of the future campus of the Four Corners School, the Canyon Country Discovery Center. All of these companies have shown significant leadership helping us protect the Colorado Plateau.

This trip is designed to build awareness of the Colorado Plateau within the Outdoor Industry. The Four Corners area offers incredible cultural, biological and recreational resources, and the densest concentration of National Parks in America (Canyonlands, Arches, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde to name a few!) Four Corners School builds life-long learning in and around this area through Service, Adventure, Education and Conservation programs. Our programs focus on youth, who need education and adventure now in order to build their future in service and conservation.

Four Corners School is presently seeking partners to help support our Service, Adventure, Education, and Conservation programs as well as help us build our new campus, the Canyon Country Discovery Center. For more information about how you can partner with Four Corners School to create the next generation of happy, active, outdoor enthusiasts, contact Janet Ross, Executive Director of the Four Corners School at jross@FourCornersSchool.org.
