100% American brand names socks for towns nationwide
Mt. Airy, North Carolina (October 26, 2015)—Farm to Feet, makers of 100 percent American socks made with U.S. sourced materials, in U.S. factories, by U.S. workers, is celebrating the communities that support the brand by naming new styles for the fall season after those towns.
“From New Hampshire to Alaska to Oklahoma to Georgia, we are proud to honor the communities that support us,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet Marketing VP. “These communities provide the jobs that help keep the U.S. economy rolling and keep domestic manufacturing alive and thriving.”
This fall the three-year-old brand based in Mt. Airy, NC, added new wintersport, equestrian, and tactical collections, and expanded its offering of everyday socks. The collection includes 27 new styles named after 22 communities representing the following 13 states.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet retailer The Alaska Walking Store, the Anchorage is a women’s mix-matched, lightweight, everyday knee-high sock featuring reindeer in a winter landscape design.
Named for the home of the Naval Special Warfare Cold Weather Training Facility, the Kodiak is an extra heavy weight traditional knit boot sock designed for military use.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet’s California sales representative, the Alpine Meadows is a women’s lightweight ski sock featuring half-density cushioning targeted at the heel and shin.
Named for the home of the U.S. Navy SEALS school at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, the Coronado is a lightweight traditional knit boot sock designed for military use.
Named for the home of the U.S. Army Rangers School at Fort Benning, the Columbus is a medium weight, traditional knit, boot sock designed for military use.
Named for the original location of Farm to Feet retailer Hudson Trail Outfitters, the Kensington is a men’s lightweight everyday sock featuring a diagonal buffalo check design.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet retailer The Base Camp, the Billings is a women’s lightweight everyday sock featuring a blanket stripe design.
Named for the hometown of Turtle Ridge Foundation, the non-profit organization founded by Olympic Champion Bode Miller and his family to support youth and adaptive ski programs. Farm to Feet will donate a portion of sales from the Franconia men’s lightweight ski sock to the organization. Cameron Shaw-Doran, Turtle Ridge Foundation’s director of development is featured on the packaging.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet retailer Finger Lakes Running Company, the Ithaca is a women’s ultra-light everyday sock featuring a multiple stripe design.
Named for the home county of Manufacturing Solutions Center, Farm to Feet’s manufacturing consulting partner, the Catawba is a women’s ultra-light everyday sock featuring a mix of floral designs and stripes.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet’s Southeastern sales representative, the Franklin the lightweight everyday socks feature outdoor motifs of camping and canoeing paired with chevrons and buffalo check designs.
Named for the home of the U.S. Marines Special Operations School at Camp Lejune, the Jacksonville is a medium weight boot sock designed for military use.
Named for the location of the inaugural Horsewoman’s Challenge, the Guthrie is a women’s ultra-light knee-high sock designed for equestrian performance and features a lace design.
Named for the hometown of Batch 171, Farm to Feet’s branding consultant, the Park City is a medium weight ski sock featuring full density cushioning zones in the toe, heel, and shin areas and half density cushioning in the calf. Justin Salvas, founder and president of Farm to Feet’s branding partner Batch 171’s is featured on the men’s sock packaging and his wife, a professional outdoor photographer, Sandra Salvas is featured on the women’s.
Named for the hometown of Pale Morning Media, Farm to Feet’s public relations agency, the Waitsfield is a lightweight ski sock featuring half-density cushioning targeted at the heel and shin. Drew Simmons, founder and president of Farm to Feet’s public relations agency Pale Morning Media is featured on the men’s sock packaging and his wife, Bear Simmons, a professional photo and video consultant who averages more than 50 ski days a year is featured on the women’s packaging.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet retailer Hills Shoes, the Cana is a men’s ribbed, ragg wool sock designed for everyday wear.
Named for the hometown of FloydFest, the Floyd, the official sock of the South’s preeminent outdoor music festival, is a lightweight everyday sock that features a festival inspired strings in in the mountains design.
Named for the hometown of Farm to Feet retailer Rock Fish Gap Outfitters, the Waynesboro is a women’s ultra-light, everyday, knee-high sock featuring a mix-matched stripes and crosses design.
Named for the hometown of Larry Hartenstein, retail manager for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, who consulted on the new Farm to Feet ski collection designs, the Jackson is an ultra-light performance ski sock.
