Exel Introduces NTech® Technology for its Cross-Country Racing Poles

New lightweight technology provides increased strength and stiffness for cross-country racing poles

Exel Sports NA, fully owned subsidiary to Exel Oyj, a Finnish manufacturer and developer of composite consumer products including cross-country ski, alpine ski, trekking and Nordic Walking poles today announced it has introduced an innovative NTech® technology to be used for its cross-country racing poles.

Exel's new NTech®, technology concept combines integrated carbon nano-particles with the Exel computer animated Co-Wound production technology which provides better swing weight and higher strength to weight ratios. The NTech® Carbon is being released early to allow everyone to take advantage of its unbelievable qualities which include a six percent reduction in weight and thirty percent increased stiffness. In the first phase, NTech® will be used in the popular Exel World Cup and Black Feather cross-country racing poles to be used by competitive skiers. Once the technology takes off, the NTech® Carbon will be used in the other Exel Nordic poles, which will revolutionize the Nordic ski pole industry.
