Effective immediately, Erik Specht will take over as Director of Sales for Mountainsmith, the Colorado-based innovators of cutting-edge packs and bags. The announcement was made by Greg Thomsen, president of the company. Erik will have overall responsibility for domestic and international sales including the development of sales strategies and programs as well as dealer relations. He will also be an integral part of the company's design and marketing teams.
From 1999 to the present, Specht has been General Manager and Account Executive for 105 Meridien, a division of the Blackstone Investment Group, which also includes Mountainsmith. Prior to that, he held sales and product management positions at Merrell, Madden Mountaineering and Kelty.
