Pamplona, Spain - December 6, 2011— During the month of November, Pablo de la Peña, General Manager of El Naturalista, traveled to Haiti to deliver more than 350 pairs of shoes that were donated by the brand as a result of their 1 x 1 campaign.

With the 1 x 1 campaign, El Naturalista invited fans to submit a one-minute video that described a small humanitarian action. For every video uploaded during the months of September and October, El Naturalista donated one pair of shoes to the NGO Acoger y Compartir that operates in Haiti.

During his recent trip to Haiti, Mr. De la Peña visited schools sponsored by Acoger y Compartir and supported by El Naturalista in the southern towns of Geantillon and Fonfrede.

“This trip has been very powerful,” said Mr. De la Peña, “Full of anecdotes and experiences that will remain in my memory forever - especially the plight the children of Haiti are facing. In addition to the earthquake, the people were hit by hurricanes, cholera, and a political situation that has made it difficult to overcome the obstacles of reconstruction. Yet in spite of the devastation, I saw a country full of life and color with hope towards the future.”

Since El Naturalista sold its first pair of shoes in 2003, the company has allocated part of its profits to social/humanitarian projects. In recent months El Naturalista has made substantial contributions to two NGOs: 6,500.00 Euros to Amigos de Tanzania and 12,000.00 Euros to Acoger y Compartir. In addition, the brand provided 7,300.00 Euros to help victims of the earthquake in Japan. Since the program's inception, El Naturalista has donated more than 200,000.00 Euros in humanitarian aid to different NGOs in addition to more than 9,000 pair of shoes.
