New Construction, Materials and Graphic Designs Give the Brand an Updated Look in 06-07

Eider, the great technical brand with a long tradition of designing and developing products for people who are passionate about adventure and need high quality equipment, will offer a new look in their mountain gear for the winter 2006/07 season.

Eider has revised its entire mountain collection by adding significant changes to its most popular features, such as:

Advanced technologies have been applied to their graphic designs.
-The use of INPROTEC® technology had been applied to their geometric designs on areas which are exposed to wear.
-Laser-cut pockets and subtly contrasted water-tight zippers.

New innovative laminates have been added to the product line.
-The introduction of Gore-Tex® XCR Varuna Stretch, 3 layer fabric- a wonderful combination of comfort with wear and tear resistance.
-The launch of Eider's own Defender® UltraLight Stretch, 3 layer fabric- the latest generation of Defender® fabric which has twice the level of breath-ability than the previous generation.

The Eider- Malden Team brings you:
-Thermal Pro HighLoft Biomimicry®- -an innovative new generation of fleece fabrics, inspired by Arctic animal fur, will offer excellent heat retention and enhanced compressibility.

Hybrid fabric technologies; Eider has combined different fabrics within the same garment- which will embody the properties of both fabrics in one.
-Gore-Tex® 3 layer combined with Gore-Tex® Paclite
-Powershield® combined with Gore-Tex® 3 layer
-Defender® 3 layer fabric combined with Biomimicry® and Powerstretch® softshell fabrics

Bodymapping; thermal optimization
-Eider has created a generation of softshell fabrics which are both warm and well-ventilated by combining different applications of fabric within the garment- thereby offering increased ventilation in areas where the body needs to breathe more and dry faster, and added insulation in the areas where the body requires added warmth and body heat retention. The addition of Windefender®, an Eider exclusive fabric, will assist in preventing wind chill, but allows enough air to circulate to keep you from overheating and increase body moisture transfer.

Other changes will include:

Visual Animation.
-All three of Eider's Snowsports lines, Wide Angle, All Mountain and Indie Ride, will feature highly visible printed designs on linings, water-proof zippers, localized areas on outer shells and in some styles, over the entire garment. The designs are embedded into the fabrics offering a contemporary look without affecting the technical properties of the materials.

The New Winter 2006/ 07 Color Palette.
-Neutral colors such as GunMetal, Charcoal, Cinder and Khaki will remain in the line, but dazzling new colors have been added; yellows (Anis, Lime & Gold), tangy oranges and reds (Salsa, Chili and Spicy Hot Red), and greens (Olive, Pesto and Peruvian Green.)
-The women's line will feature an added array of new colors- greens (Kiwi & Granny Smith), blues (Crystal & Illusion Blue) and soft shades of red (Cherry & Coral.)

Highlight on New Product Style:

Malden and Eider Team up Again to Make Waves.

For 2006 Eider will launch the new Power jacket for men and Powerwave jacket for women. Made of Polartec WindPro Stretch Hardface fabric, the WPower and Powerwave will offer superior insulation and comfort.

Polartec WindPro Stretch Hardface fabric is four (4) times more resistant to wind-chill than ordinary fleece and represents the future of lightweight insulation. The water-repellant surface offers protection against rain and snow while its fleecy velour interior captures air, providing excellent warmth without the weight and bulkiness of traditional insulating fabrics. The Hardface coating makes both internal and external fabric surfaces extremely hard-wearing and resistant to pilling.
