GOLETA, Calif. (May 25, 2006) -- Angel Martinez, President and CEO of Deckers Outdoor Corp. (NASDAQ: DECK), announced today that the newly formed consulting company, Van Dine and Partners, has been contracted to collaborate with management on a variety of projects, from strategic planning and brand development, to operational effectiveness. “Jim Van Dine and his team are an accomplished group with proven success in our industry. I have worked with them in the past and know first hand that they have considerable knowledge and experience that can add great value for Deckers as we work to maximize the opportunities inherent in our three brands, Teva, Ugg and Simple.”



“Our primary focus will be assisting the strong management team already in place to help focus their efforts and streamline their operations. I am very familiar with Angel's management team and have great confidence in their abilities.
