Darn Tough Vermont, the fastest growing American manufacturer of premium performance outdoor and lifestyle socks, announces a 24 percent growth in the recent second quarter, year-over-year. Accounting for the impressive overall growth, Darn Tough’s individual categories – Hike, Lifestyle, Run, Work, Hunt and Kids – have all seen major increases. Opening new doors, expanding distribution and increasing product assortment within existing retailers have all contributed to the brand’s success, as has the team’s continued investments in new products and market opportunities.

Category Growth

As Darn Tough works to introduce its proven, unconditionally guaranteed comfort, durability and fit to a wider consumer base, its Work and Hunt categories are up 79% and 125% respectively, with retail distribution widening and dealers taking on more inventory and styles.

The brand’s Lifestyle collection leapt forward with a substantial increase in Men’s styles at 60%, driven by growth of new accounts and existing partners adding the collection to its assortment.

New styles in the Kids collections have been eagerly received with sales soaring at 38% for the category. And in Hike, a bedrock market for Darn Tough, the increases keep coming, up 15%, overall in a category well established for the Vermont-based brand.
