Northfield, Vermont (SNEWS) February 12, 2014 – Darn Tough Vermont, the leading US manufacturer of outdoor performance socks, travelled in January to the OR Winter Market show in Salt Lake and then the SIA Snow Show in Denver. At both events, lines quickly formed outside the Darn Tough Booth.

While there’s no doubt the major attraction was the socks, particularly the new Captain America model, which Outside Magazine chose as their favorite sock of the show, Darn Tough’s authentic Vermont maple soft serve ice cream cone sprinkled with fresh, savory, Carleton Hotel brand bacon drew in fans from far and wide.

Whether it was the socks or the warm, welcoming Vermont disposition, Darn Tough served a whopping 4,000 maple creemees topped with 100 pounds of bacon, a sizzling performance that smoked last year’s record.
