Kokatat is proud to congratulate team paddler Dane Jackson on his second consecutive White Water Grand Prix (WWGP) title on the Futaleufu River in Chile last weekend.
Jackson was the overall winner, winning two of the five stages and placing among the top five in the remaining events. Dane was also the 2011 champion.
The Whitewater Grand Prix brings together thirty of the worlds best whitewater kayakers to compete in five events over fourteen days on some of Chile’s most challenging whitewater. The Whitewater Grand Prix is supported by the Association of Whitewater Professionals (AWP).
"The grand prix is one of the most intense and epic events there is," said Jackson. "To come out on top twice in a row feels great, but the most rewarding part is to paddle with such great kayakers on such awesome rivers and creeks."
Kokatat collaborated with Dane and his father, whitewater kayaking icon Eric “E.J.” Jackson to create the Kokatat Jackson Collection, which will be available this spring.
The collection includes the Maximus PFD, GORE-TEX® Icon Dry Suit and multiple dry tops. The collection is easily recognizable with its bold colors and details like fresh graphics and denim blue striping.
Team Kokatat paddlers Isaac Levinson placed fourth overall; Anton Immler and Kyle Hull also competed in the WWGP.
