Burlington, Vermont, February 6, 2013--
At the upcoming Winter Olympics, traditional goes retro with the release of the Sochi, the official sweater of the Norwegian National Team.

Inspired by 1930s Dale sweaters, the Sochi incorporates golden elements into the zipper and a Norwegian flag knit into the medium high-neck of the 28-Micron colonial wool sport sweater.

Using the Norge flag as her color palette, Dale of Norway designer Svanhild Strom created three colorways for the 2014 Sochi Collection. Available in both feminine and masculine, the Sochi is sure to make every athlete feel like a winner.

Since the first Olympic sweater was introduced at the Cortina Olympics in 1956, Dale of Norway sweaters have endured as the official uniform of Norwegian Olympians and World Champion athletes.

Dale of Norway Olympic sweaters remain popular in the collection long after the Olympic medals are won. New colors are introduced for every year; each named after the location of the Olympic games. With the addition of the Sochi to a broad collection of enduring classics, Dale of Norway celebrates the triumphs of the best ambassadors a country could ever hope for.
