MEDWAY, Mass.--Cybex International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CYBI), a leading manufacturer of premium exercise equipment for the commercial and consumer markets, was recently featured on CNBC's Power Lunch. CNBC's Mike Hegedus had never heard of Owatonna, Minnesota let alone was he able to pronounce it. But after visiting CYBEX's new $15 million manufacturing facility, the veteran special features reporter won't forget the Midwest City or one particular workout anytime soon.

Hegedus, known for his hands-on interviewing style, literally rolled up his sleeves, straddled a CYBEX Arc trainer and while jump starting his heart rate, interviewed CYBEX Chairman and CEO John Aglialoro on a recent visit to the facility where premium strength training and cardio exercise equipment is manufactured (just outside of Minneapolis).

“I do know the interview was shorter than usual,” joked Hegedus. Aglialoro and Hegedus strolled CYBEX's new 275,000 square foot manufacturing facility to talk about a host of things – the fitness industry, the global economy, U.S. manufacturing and even books and movies.

Hegedus reported on Aglialoro's seven year history as CEO of CYBEX including its dramatic turnaround and how he took the debt-ridden, struggling operation, and repositioned CYBEX into a money maker resulting in a recent listing by Business Week as one of the "Hot Growth Companies." Hegedus' segment “Mike on America” showcased CYBEX and aired on CNBC's Power Lunch, January 2, 2008 at 1:58 p.m. EST.

In his interview with Hegedus, Aglialoro shared his enthusiasm about the new facility's state-of-the-art equipment and his Company's operational efficiencies. "We can control costs. We can control quality. We can get parts and services to our customers quickly. It makes economic sense to be here in the U.S. and we plan to keep it that way." says Aglialoro.

“John Aglialoro seems to be the kind of guy who gets what he wants, by working hard and being self-reliant,” added Hegedus. “Next time we see each other, he can run on the treadmill, and I'll do the interview standing still,” added Hegedus.
