CW-X ADDS COMPRESSION SUPPORT SOCKS, ULTRA SUPPORT BRA, NEW SHORTS AND BRIEFS AND NEW COLORS FOR SPRING ‘09

NEW YORK, N.Y. (Aug. 4, 2008) – The Wacoal Sports Science Corporation, makers of CW-X® Conditioning Wear (www.cw-x.com), continue to expand their offerings of performance-enhancing Conditioning Wear for men and women. New for Spring/Summer 2009 are CW-X Compression Support Socks, Dri-Mesh Short Sleeved Top, VersatX Capri, Core Support Shorts, and an Ultra Support Bra. Colors will also be updated across the line. The new styles can be seen at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market booth 1001.

New spring styles for both men and women include CW-X Compression Support Socks, which use seamless, variable compression, and Torex four-way stretch fabric to increase circulation in the feet and lower legs. This results in reduced fatigue and quicker recovery from strenuous athletic activity. Patented, built-in webbing supports the calf muscles, ankle joint and arch of the foot. The socks have a cushioned sole and toe for comfort, and have antimicrobial and antibacterial properties to reduce odor. U.S. patent #5640714. (sug. ret. $35)

“The addition of a fatigue-reducing CW-X Compression Support Sock allows athletes to obtain an overall performance benefit,” said John L.A. Wilson, president/COO of Wacoal Sports Science Corporation. “They can now experience almost full-body Conditioning Web support from their tops to their feet.”

New men's-only products for the spring include the Dri-Mesh Short Sleeved Top, Core Support Shorts and Boxer Brief. The Dri-Mesh Short Sleeved Top is a versatile, lightweight mesh performance garment providing maximum, quick-dry breathability through the use of Fieldsensor multi-layered mesh knit. The tops feature UPF 50+ UVA/UVB sun protection and loose-fitting garment construction for maximum comfort. (sug. ret. $35)

CW-X Core Support Shorts feature the patented Conditioning Web in hip flexor, lower back and lower abdominal areas for maximum core support and power in a mid-length five-inch inseam short that can serve as a competition running short or sports under-layer. They are constructed of Coolmax/Lycra four-way stretch tricot fabric for maximum moisture wicking and comfort, have flat seam construction for minimal abrasion, and provide UPF 40+ UVA/UVB protection. (sug. ret. $60)

The CW-X Men's Boxer Brief is made from Healtha+ fabric with six-channel wicking and anti-microbial/anti-bacterial silver fiber technology. (sug. ret. $35)

A women's-specific addition for spring is the CW-X Ultra Support Bra, which balances comfort and support for larger cup sizes through 42DD. The Ultra Support Bra features the patented CW-X Targeted Support Web, and fully adjustable back and shoulder closures for personalized fit and variable support. The bra is designed for use as high-impact active wear as well as comfortable supportive day wear. Coolmax/Lycra tricot fabric construction with Healtha+ mesh front panels in perspiration zones ensures comfort and moisture wicking. (sug. ret. $70)

The women's VersatX Capri features the company's patented Conditioning Web in the core area to support the lower abdominals, hip flexors and gluteal muscles, with a looser fit and cropped length. The VersatX Capri, in black with aqua trim, is made from Dry-Zone R506 fabric that offers quick-dry moisture wicking and UV protection. It features fiber nanotechnology incorporating antibacterial silver dioxide for antibacterial freshness and titanium oxide for UPF 50+ protection. (sug. ret. $70)

Other changes across the men's and women's lines: an all-white version of the CW-X Expert Shorts, featuring patented Conditioning Web technology (sug. ret. $55), and color updates for LiteFit, Lite Support Bra, Sport Support Bra, Xtra Support Bra, and Xtra Support Zip Bra.

Wacoal Sports Science has been issued patents for CW-X technology in Japan and Europe, with 15 patents in the U.S. alone. CW-X has been extensively tested and proven in competition by Olympics medalists, cyclists in the Tour de France, and climbers on two separate and successful Mt. Everest expeditions.
