Portland, Ore. (June 16, 2006) Cloggens Shoes, an innovative molded comfort brand, has tapped Carey Kerns Public Relations to direct a comprehensive marketing communications campaign. Portland, Ore.-based Cloggens is debuting with a fall '06
line of men's and women's shoes that offer maximum comfort, performance and style.

According to Cloggens co-founder Troy Lewis, public relations will play a key role by generating awareness of the new brand as it enters the competitive and popular lightweight footwear segment.

“We felt it was critical to work with someone who has knowledge and experience in the footwear industry, as well as long-standing consumer and trade media relationships,” said Lewis. “With her extensive footwear background, Kerns was the ideal choice, and the fact that she's located in Portland was an added bonus.”

Carey Kerns Public Relations is the latest addition to the Cloggens team of footwear industry veterans, which includes design, development, sales and marketing experts.
