Chaos and Moon Shadow Headwear Report 35% Growth in Sales for the 2nd qtr. Entering a Strong Fall Season

Steamboat Springs, CO. Partnerships, innovation and service seem to be driving the success at Chaos and Moon Shadow. For both Brands, current designs and colors are growing brand awareness in the market place. Sponsorships and affiliations, and strong price points with great retail margins are also fuelling this growth.

We are now able to report 35% total growth over all brands. The growth came mostly from the Chaos brand. “We are seeing a continued fall of the traditional ski look hats, which is the focus of the Moon Shadow line.” Gary Supple, US Director, “contributes most of the growth to Chaos - current selection and unique colors, great pricing, a growing brand awareness in the market place-- thru sponsorships and affiliations, and aggressive early buy programs. These programs produced strong price points and great retail margins, and we're just good guys.” In addition, to urban and street looks, The CTR program in cold weather technical fleece and accessories has dually added to the bottom line.

Chaos admits they are belated with the good news; they just wanted to ensure it was accurate. It was clear early on; it was a great selling season. Almost every month was a record month. “We have just been hesitant to broadcast too soon.”

How does Chaos stay with this success? “At Chaos, we anticipate continued strong growth for the brand. We continue to be a market leader and have cutting edge styles at very competitive pricing. As a factory direct, family owned, vertical headwear company, we are not a “middle man marketing” company like many of our competitors. This will always be a very strong point to our continued success. Chaos has a complete design and merchandising team who travel the globe searching for and finding new trends in all types of headwear items,” explains Supple.

It is without a doubt that profile and involvement, have driven recent successes these last 3 seasons. Chaos has worked steady to create new inroads in partnerships, alliances and major sponsorships in the Outdoor and Snow industries. Last season Chaos added even more events and solidified previous ones. Below are the top sponsor events for 2007/2008 Season. In order of the season: The Teton Gravity Research-TGR film tour, The Vail Valley Foundation with the Birds of Prey, Honda Session and the American Master's Cup- The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge series 56 events-, SOS-Snowboard Outreach Society 40 events—, events 45 events POWDER 8-New England Championships, Steamboat Tele-Fest, The USDSSA Assoc for the Deaf Snow Sports, Snowboarding for Breast Cancer in Stowe, Vermont—, USASA-United States of America Snowboard Association finals, Lake Tahoe-, Windell's Snow Camps—, as well as, the Cold Smoke Film Awards, and the ever groovin', band- Eight Track Mind—

Chris Anthony . Anthony is renown in his field, as very busy. He is an honored all mountain skier, adventure sport guide, television personality, Warren Miller Emcee for 56 premiers, and a community activist for kids. Chris will help us represent Chaos in his worldly ways. We will also be announcing our final winter sport team for 2007/2008 in two weeks.

“In the coming season we anticipate more killer product and product innovation, as well as continuing with our branded marketing plans,” adds Dominic Chenelia, West Coast Marketing and Sales Director. Chenelia further explains that future success “will come from revamping our in store merchandising programs and displays. We always have more plans!”
This overall success would not be possible with out all the people. Chaos is grateful for its retailers continued support, its team riders, and fantastic partners, thank you.
