SANTA ROSA, Calif. (April 21, 2010) – Buff, Inc., known for technical and multifunctional headwear popular among the angling community, is pleased to be a sponsor of Team Bass-N-Fly for their 2010 Delta Bass-n-Fly Challenge in Stockton, Calif. on May 21, 2010. Buff, Inc. will be providing the event with 100 custom Team Bass-N-Fly UV Buff® headwear, a $2,760 in-kind donation.

The Delta Bass-n-Fly Challenge is a fly-fishing only bass tournament being held at Ladds/Buckley cove in Stockton, Calif. The tournament has become a true platform for expanding the popularity and techniques of pursuing largemouth bass with fly tackle. This year's event is expected to bring in 50 teams to the site (100 anglers total), all vying for trophies given to the top three teams in the tournament. Teams are represented from around the country.

“Whether it's running boats in major wind chill conditions or covering up against scorching sun, the Bass-n-Fly Team relies on Buff® to keep us in the game,” said team member Ken Hanley.

Team Bass-n-Fly will be running the event in its entirety. The team is one of the most decorated in the sport of bass fly fishing, but what sets them apart is their strong commitment to the angling community. Team Bass-n-Fly has been integrally involved in a variety of fishery development and training programs, and members of the team have also presented seminars at fishing expos around the country. In addition, several team members are frequent contributors to magazines like Fly Tyer and Northwest Fly Fishing, and teammates Kevin Doran and John Sherman were featured on multiple episodes of “BASS The Movie” which aired on ESPN2.

The Delta Bass-N-Fly Challenge will start at 6:00 am on May 21, 2010, with an official weigh-in at 2:00 pm. Spectators are encouraged to attend and the event is free for everyone to watch. For more information, please visit:

The UV Buff® protects against 95-percent of UV rays. With its Coolmax® Extreme fabric, sweat evaporates quickly and allows moisture to pass through the fabric. As a result, any outdoor activity can be achieved with ease and comfort, and the user will be left feeling dry and cool during mid-day and warm while out in the early morning.

Buff® continues to produce the highest quality multifunctional headwear on the market.
