VANCOUVER, WA -- February 20, 2007 -- Just in time for spring training, Bowflex has introduced another model of its popular space-saving dumbbells with weight ranges from 10 to 90 pounds with the simple turn of a dial.

The Bowflex® SelectTech® 1090 dumbbells make free weight training practical in small spaces because the weights and stand require about two linear feet of floor space. A comparable rack of free weights at the club would require 17 pairs of free weights weighing nearly a ton and consuming 14 linear feet at a cost of $2,000 to $5,000.

One of the first to test the new dumbbells was Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who is preparing for his ninth season in the National Football League. "These 1090s are the perfect dumbbell set for a home gym," said the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl star from Boston College. "The combination of space-saving design and adjustable weights from 10 to 90 pounds is enough weight for all of my workouts."

The newest pair of SelectTech dumbbells complements two models ranging from 5 to 52.5 pounds and 2.5 to 20 pounds introduced two years ago by pure fitness company Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS). They quickly became the most popular choice for free weights directly from the company and from participating specialty retailers.

The new, larger pair of Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells is perfect for building larger chest, arm, back, abdominal, shoulder and leg muscles. Each dumbbell adjusts in five-pound increments to gradually increase strength and build fat-burning muscle, using cutting-edge selectorized dial technology letting users rapidly switch weight. Each pair comes with a free workout DVD "Secrets of the Four Step Rep" illustrating 30 exercises and more than 80 variations.

"Whether you're an NFL quarterback or an armchair quarterback, for spring training we recommend SelectTech dumbbells as a staple in a home fitness center, along with a home exercise gym for overall strength and a cardiovascular trainer to improve endurance," said Tim Hawkins, President of Fitness Equipment for Nautilus, Inc.

"In addition to SelectTech dumbbells, our best selling options for home strength are the Bowflex Ultimate2, Xtreme2 and Revolution home gyms, and for cardio a Bowflex TreadClimber unit. Through superior industrial design, diverse high-quality products, and direct delivery, we are working hard to make fitness training convenient for millions of people."

The Bowflex SelectTech 1090 pair ($599) and optional stand ($149) can be financed for as low as $12 a month, and are available direct from the company or at certain specialty fitness retailers. Two matching benches and a mat are options. The dumbbells are covered by a 2-year limited warranty on all parts, 5 years on weight plates, and 1 year on labor. Stands feature a 30-year warranty.
