NEW YORK – November 2010 – So what do the innovative minds behind Equinox, the nation’s premier fitness club, do for an encore? They Blink. With sterling new clubs opening soon in Yonkers, Paramus and NoHo Manhattan, Blink is an inexpensive, fast and convenient fitness alternative designed by award winning architects.

“There has been a huge demand for an innovative, value-oriented fitness facility in a number of areas where the market is under-served. People who are shopping for value in their gym experience no longer need to compromise,” said Dos Condon, VP of Blink. “Blink is an affordable gym that doesn’t look or feel cheap. And since ‘everybody blinks’ we have designed Blink to attract the widest range of user from the engaged to the first timer.”

Blink’s clean, well-designed workout environment focuses on basic fitness elements: brand-name cardio and strength training equipment, free weights, integrated technology and self-service retail, including HUMAN Healthy Vending, vending machines that give 10% of proceeds back to charitable causes that fight obesity and malnutrition. Not sure where to begin? Blink features a dedicated functional training area and a stretching area with easy-to-follow graphics to guide you through a full body workout. And, one of Blink’s fitness experts is always nearby to offer tips and answer your questions.

In addition to pristine locker rooms, Blink offers convenient stash lockers right near the entrance for members to prefer to walk off the street and head straight to the gym floor. Another Blink signature is The Front Porch – a relaxing lounge where you can recoup, relax, refresh and meet friends. If you forgot your workout towel, water bottle, or iPod earbuds, a vending machine has them in stock.

Memberships are $15/month for the Grey Plan single club access or $20/month for the Blue Plan multi-club access with guest privileges. Start-up fees are $49 (Grey Plan) or $99 (Blue Plan). At Blink, there’s no high-pressure sales tactics: simply visit a lobby kisok, swipe your card, pick your plan and start working out. You can also sign-up online.

Blink Fitness is a wholly owned subsidiary of Equinox Fitness Clubs, Inc. based in New York City.
