EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 9 -- Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation, a leading sporting goods retailer, today announced the celebration of its 55th year in business. The five-week event will begin on September 12, 2010, when the Company launches its social media sites on Facebook and Twitter. During this anniversary celebration, Big 5 will offer its customers a selection of exceptional weekly sales promotions. The event will also include a special Trivia Contest, and successful contestants will be eligible to win valuable prizes.
