Beer Lovers Rejoice: STANLEY, a brand of PMI, Introduces New Vacuum Pint for Fall 2014

SEATTLE, WA (January 7, 2014) – STANLEY, a brand of PMI, is getting serious about spirits. As consumers embrace the microbrew and micro distillery trend, STANLEY is introducing pint glasses, a shot glass set, and several new flask sizes for fall 2014. With their legendary durability and never-ending performance, STANLEY brings top shelf style to the spirits category answering consumer demand for classier, more rugged solutions to hold their alcoholic beverages.

“Based on the popularity of our flasks and the rapidly growing rise of the craft beer movement, expanding our spirits line to include pint glasses and a shot glass set was a natural choice for us,” explains JoAnne Anderson, Senior Global Marketing Manager for PMI’s STANLEY brand. “We are particularly excited about our Vacuum Pint as it offers our superior thermals and durability in our iconic Stanley style, featuring our beloved hammertone green and stainless steel body. It really is a pint grandpa wished he had but his grandson is lucky enough to now enjoy.”

According to the Brewers Association, there are more than 2,300 craft brewers in the US. The growth of the spirits category has infiltrated the outdoor space as well. As more people head outdoors, more products meant for home are coming along for the ride to the campsite. STANLEY’s expansion in the spirits category creates a complete collection of containers and gives campers and outdoor enthusiasts the option to replace disposables with a durable, reusable solution.

“To put a premium IPA in a plastic red cup can be seen as nearly criminal to some beer enthusiasts,” added Anderson. “For those who enjoy good beer, the new STANLEY pints ensure it will stay fresh, hoppy and delicious.”

New products for the fall 2014 spirits collection include:

Classic Vacuum Steel Pint (16 oz). The pint grandpa wished he had, it features our iconic hammertone green finish and legendary durability. Built-in, removable bottle opener ensures you’re never unprepared. Keeps beer cold for 4.5 hours (1.5 hour hot, 17 hours iced) and has a press-fit lid. Dishwasher safe. MSRP $23.

Adventure Insulated Stainless Steel Pint (16 oz). Rugged and durable, this stainless steel pint is easy to grip with its neoprene insulating wrap keeping the sweat out and the cold in. It is dishwasher safe and includes a press-fit lid. MSRP $15.

Adventure Stainless Steel Shot Glass Set (2 oz). Take the party outside with this set of four 2-oz stainless steel shot glasses. Keep it all together with the hammertone green steel carrying case. MSRP $20

In addition to the new spirits offerings, the STANLEY brand will also be adding two sizes to the Adventure Stainless Steel Flask collection: XL Steel Flask (12 oz) and the Pocket Steel Flask (5 oz), MSRP $23 and $18, respectively. The entire new fall 2014 collection will be debuting at this year’s Winter Market Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, UT (January 22 – 25) at booth #21001.
