Bear Valley Joins Forces with OutsidePR

California Ski Resort to Launch National, Regional Publicity Efforts

OutsidePR, a Bay Area outdoor-industry public relations firm, today announced that it has reached an agreement to represent Bear Valley Resorts for a wide-ranging public relations and public affairs campaign in 2013.

Bear Valley, located south of Lake Tahoe in California's Central Sierra Nevada, is regarded as one of the United States’ most family-friendly locations for skiing and snowboarding. With nine lifts and nearly 1,700 skiable acres dropping 1,900 vertical feet, Bear Valley is not only a premier family destination, but also the closest ski resort for much of the San Francisco Bay Area. The mountain boasts 75 trails, averages nearly 400 inches of snowfall per year and sports a wide range of summertime activities – from festivals and sports camps to wine tasting in the Calaveras County viticulture area.

OutsidePR’s work for Bear Valley will focus on the core ski season, but will also extend to publicizing the resort’s many summer events and activities. The agency will integrate its messaging and outreach with additional regional and local entities in the surrounding areas. Critically, OutsidePR will also assist Bear Valley with communicating the resort’s ongoing master development plan, which has been in progress since 2005.
