This unique 100% obstacle event to be held at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego on June 15th and 16th will donate proceeds to the heroes of Operation Rebound

May 21, 2013 (San Diego, CA)-- Alpha Warrior, a first of its kind event featuring 30+ extreme obstacles and 16 insane structures, is proud to partner with the Challenged Athletes Foundation’s® (CAF) Operation Rebound® program as the beneficiary for their San Diego event. Boasting “No mud. No miles. No mercy.”, the event will be held at Qualcomm Stadium on June 15th and June 16th and will offer a ‘Challenged Athlete’ start wave on Saturday June 15th.

CAF is a world leader in helping individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports. The Operation Rebound program is the premier sports and fitness program for American military personnel, veterans and first responders with permanent physical disabilities. It provides unparalleled opportunities to pursue active, athletic lifestyles by offering access to funding for equipment and training, competition expenses, Military Medical Center Physical Training (MMCPT) and sports clinics.

Both Alpha Warrior and CAF consider the partnership an opportunity to benefit and grow awareness for the military heroes and wounded warriors that serve our country. The all-obstacle format is new and exciting, but also familiar territory to the large military community that resides in San Diego county.

“The mission of CAF and Alpha Warrior are very compatible,” says Nico Marcolongo, Senior Director of CAF’s Operation Rebound program. “We seek to offer individuals sporting opportunities that enrich and strengthen their lives, and that empower them to reach their goals. The partnership with Alpha Warrior will help us continue our mission and demonstrate that there are no limits to what the human spirit can accomplish.”

“Alpha Warrior is proud to help raise funds for CAF’s Operation Rebound Program,” says David Nolan, President of Alpha Warrior. “Alongside creating a start wave exclusively for the CAF Athletes, we seek to honor these incredible human beings and heroes, and provide spectators and participants the chance to be inspired as they watch them in action.”

About Alpha Warrior

Alpha Warrior is a new type of obstacle course, featuring 30 obstacles and 16 structures, that will push in ways that you've never been pushed before. Alpha Warrior is about having fun with your friends and attempting obstacles you've rarely seen in real life. Alpha Warrior is not measured in miles or distance, but focuses on the obstacles themselves. Alpha Warrior is one insane obstacle after another - pushing you to your physical and mental limit. The objective is to complete each obstacle on the course and finish with a 100% completion rate to become a PROVEN Alpha Warrior.

Alpha Warrior is not a race (with the exception of elite waves). Alpha Warrior is a way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally on obstacles you rarely get a chance to see in person. You can run through as an individual or with a team, there is no wrong way to attack the course.
