Allen Sports, the popular bicycle accessories and storage solutions leader, will introduce the XLZ2 two child aluminum stroller trailer to its line of stylish joggers and trailers for runners and cyclists this December. Originally known for their compact, trunk, hitch and sparetire carriers, Allen Sports has grown into a full-fledged sporting goods brand specializing in collapsible bikes, joggers, trailers and lights.
Featuring a fully functional 2-child bike trailer and swivel wheel stroller in both a single and double option, the new XLZ2 consists of an ultra-light aluminum construction and folding design with 20” inflated rear tires and a quick release wheel system for easy transportation and storage. The stroller safely transports two children up to 100 pounds and includes a foot guard tube to protect passengers’ feet and large front and side windows for all-around views.
“The XLZ2 is by far one of the coolest looking strollers on the market,” said Alex Allen, CEO of Allen Sports USA. “We’re most excited about the accent piping we worked into the design which also works as a reflective safety feature for low-light conditions since so many joggers train with their kids at dawn and dusk. We’re continually working to create lightweight, functional and easily stored joggers and trailers that provide maximum safety out on the roadways for athletes and their passengers.”
The XLZ2’s zippered three season rain and bug shield keeps passengers dry and protected year-round and allows athletes to keep gear and personals safe in the stroller’s large rear pocket. In addition to reflective accents for added safety, the XLZ2 includes a safety flag for increased visibility while in the trailer mode.
Founded in 1965 by cycling enthusiast Richard Allen, Allen Bike Racks started as a small, garage-run operation in Lincoln, MA, providing safe and easy solutions to transport bicycles. By 1971 the family company’s bicycle carriers and storage racks were being sold nationally through a number of major bicycle distributors and retailers. Today, Allen Sports operates four warehouses nationally, two factories abroad, and sells product in over a dozen countries, including the USA, Australia and China.
The new XLZ2 will be available online at www.allensportsusa.com in mid-December 2015. For more information on the new XLZ2 and other Allen Sports products please contact Spencer Naar at Spencer@OutsidePR.com.
