Action Wipes, makers of all-natural full body wet wipes, is partnering with REI on their National Public Lands Day service project in Sandy, UT on Saturday September 28, 2013. About 130 volunteers, including 30 high school students, will gather “to help improve a section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.” REI will have breakfast, tools and t-shirts for all volunteers. Action Wipes is providing their eucalyptus and tea tree oil infused wipes so volunteers can clean-up before lunch onsite. Check out the REI event page to sign-up -- volunteers still welcome!

National Public Lands Day is celebrating 20 years with groups all over the country coming together in their local community parks and other public lands. Last year alone, 23,000 pounds of invasive plants were collected, 1,500 miles of trails were built and maintained, 100,000 trees, shrubs and other native plants were planted, and 500 tons of trash was removed.

NPLD educates Americans about the environment and natural resources, and the need for shared stewardship of these valued, irreplaceable lands; builds partnerships between the public sector and the local community based upon mutual interests in the enhancement and restoration of America's public lands; and improves public lands for outdoor recreation, with volunteers assisting land managers in hands-on work.¹

Action Wipes is a waterless shower alternative designed for outdoor enthusiasts, travelers and athletes of all types. The natural sudsing removes sweat, dirt and odor, and leaves skin clean, refreshed and smooth. The large 9"x10" premium cloth cleans the whole body and can be rinsed and reused to clean gear.
