VANCOUVER, B.C. – Seamlessly integrating its supply chain and manufacturing with sales, inventory management and customer relations, Westcomb, the Vancouver-based manufacturer of unique outdoor apparel of the highest quality, this month flipped the switches on a new software system that will afford the company better controls over its front-to-back operations as well as improve service for its retailers.

More than a year in the making from researching options to software integration, the new system helps Westcomb better track its supply-chain needs based on its sales. It also relays key information to its primary contacts in the Vancouver factory that builds all of its Canadian-constructed apparel.

Those features help yield better order management and more timely delivery to dealers, said Westcomb Sales Director Gabriel Cote.

“Basically this enables us to better serve our customers by always having live data that's constantly updated and accessible to us wherever we are at all times,” Cote said.

Down the line, the software will allow Westcomb to add a portal for sales representatives so they can enter orders directly from the road, as well as a portal for dealers, who will be able to see Westcomb's live inventory, he said.

Westcomb looked at a dozen different software systems before settling on the one that perfectly met its needs, Cote said.
