The Pinneco® Branding Team Attends bluesign® Conference in St. Gallen, Switzerland

ST. GALLEN, SWITZERLAND, 9-10 July 2013 – The Pinneco® Branding Team attended the bluesign® Conference 2013 in St. Gallen, Switzerland this past week.

This is the third bluesign® conference, conference theme being “Time To Shift!” Participants from different companies and industry associations gathered at the Pfalzkeller in St. Gallen. This two-day conference was packed with industry-focused presentation topics and renowned lecturers to share knowledge and vision of the industry. Participants had a chance to engage with other industry peers and to discuss their thoughts on a delightful platform.

Topics covered in the conference included “A time to shift to greener chemistry and innovation,” “ZDHC – The Version 2 of the Roadmap – A true shift for chemicals management?” “Human health risk assessment of textiles – where are we now?” “Hydrophobing of textiles at the crossroads – How can we combine high performance and environmental questions in the future?” “The new (expected) change in the classification of formaldehyde and the impact on the textile industry,” “Plasma Technology and Textiles – still in its infancy?” “Time to Shift! Time to Decouple Wellbeing from Resource Depletion,” “Denim challenge toward zero discharge of hazardous chemicals,” “Advanced Denim: A new concept for more sustainable production of Denim,” Approach for Environmental Impact Reduction by Teijin Polyester Technologies,” and “High technology grows best in green,” “Transparency – Shifting Perspectives.” bluesign news, activities, as well as Chemical Working Group sessions for chemical supplier, as well as Roundtable discussions for manufacturers and brands took place on the second day to create a knowledge-exchange podium for participants.
