2011 Health+Fitness Business to Share Exhibit Space with InterbikeNew floor layout at Sands Convention Center will further compliment both shows

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - December 17, 2010 - Show organizers will hold the 2011 edition of Health+Fitness Business (HFB) in conjunction with Interbike, now integrating the leading retail fitness industry business-to-business trade event into the same exhibit space. HFB has also been expanded into a three-day show, instead of two day, and will be held September 14-16 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Holding the 2010 edition of Health+Fitness Business Expo & Conference (HFB) in conjunction with Interbike helped energize the yearly gathering of the fitness equipment trade show.

"Walking into HFB this year you could actually feel the energy in the room," said Andy Tompkins, Health+Fitness Business and Interbike show director. "We received overwhelmingly positive feedback, final attendance numbers were significantly up, and many brands felt the show's resurgence was due to the increase in bicycle retailers attending both HFB and Interbike. Holding the shows together demonstrated how compatible the industries are and how many crossover buyers exist between the two. As a result, we've decided to integrate the events even further."

HFB and Interbike will be held on two floors of the Sands Convention Center. The main entrance for both shows will be on the street level floor (Hall G) and will include registration, HFB and Interbike exhibitor booths, the Interbike/HFB Café, and the Interbike Urban Lounge. Newly installed escalators will integrate the two floors and provide easy access to the upper expo floor, which will showcase the traditional layout of returning Interbike exhibitors. Final numbers for HFB 2010, which was held in The Venetian Las Vegas Hotel next to the Sands, indicate the show hosted 92 companies, an increase of nearly 30 more than the 2009 show. It was attended by 2,135 buyers representing 1,194 unique buying businesses, compared to 380 buyers and 200 businesses in 2009.

Contract renewals for the 2011 HFB are now available online. For questions about exhibiting, contact Interbike Sales Manager Andria Klinger at andria.klinger@nielsen.com.
