  • LaCrosse Footwear’s CEO Joseph Schneider and its CFO David Carlson have resigned from the Portland-based footwear brand. Officials said both men left the company to pursue other opportunities. The departures follow the company’s sale to Japan-based ABC-Mart Inc. for $138 million earlier this summer.
  • Arc’teryx Equipment, in Vancouver, Canada, appointed Jon Hoerauf as its new vice president and senior director of global commercial sales and Adam Ketcheson as its new vice president and senior director of global marketing and B2C. Hoerauf will oversee Arc’teryx’s global commercial sales strategy and planning, corporate sales, Arc’teryx LEAF, sales planning and dealer services, as well as the brand’s increasing business development across the three regions of the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Ketcheson’s primary responsibilities will be to reinforce and grow global awareness for the brand, while also working to build a closer consumer connection through all channels. Both new hires come from The North Face, Hoerauf a former global product director there, and Ketcheson with 10 years of sales and marketing experience at TNF.
  • Powderhorn, with its U.S.-based offices in Lafayette, Colo., announced NorCal Sports Group as its new sales agency for Northern California and Nevada. NorCal’s team of Skippy Jackson, Alan Rowland, Craig Phillips, and Gregor Mraz will help support increased sales throughout the specialty channel in the resort communities surrounding Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nev.
  • United Kingdom-based Craghoppers World Travel Clothing is growing its U.S. headquarters in New Market, N.H. with the hiring of James McNamara as its new U.S. national sales manager and Holly Craig as its new business operations manager. McNamara moves to the United States after serving as Craghoppers’ key sales manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Craig joins Craghoppers from New England Footwear.
  • Salomon USA, in Ogden, Utah, appointed Patrick Crotty as product merchandising manager of its apparel category. Crotty will work with marketing and sales managers as well as dealers and consumers to understand trends and business needs to create successful product ranges in the United States. He’ll have a hand in sales forecasting, retail market research, developing in-store merchandising and sample management. He most recently was senior product manager at Ogio International, a product line manager at Spyder Active Sports and product development manager at The North Face.
  • Rossignol Group North America announced several promotions to strengthen its United States team in in Park City, Utah. The ski brand promoted Kurt Hoefler to vice president of sales in the United States. Hoefler had been the alpine division manager for Rossignol for the past seven years, and before that served as the brand’s nordic division manager for eight years. Thor Verdonk, previously a technical product manager for Rossignol, was promoted to North American director of alpine product development. Matt Rihm, formerly the North American team manager, was promoted to alpine product manager.
  • Switzerland-based ski and golf wear brand KJUS is expanding its North American headquarters in Boulder, Colo. with the hiring of Hans Bergman as its new managing director and the promotion of Brooke Mackenzie to key account and marketing manager. In addition, KJUS hired Julie Rogers in Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Chris Mackenzie in Colorado as sales representatives for the Northern Rockies and Southern Rockies regions.
  • Sierra Designs, in Boulder Colo., hired Jim Trombly as its new product director and Martin Flora as its new creative director. Both Trombly and Flora come to Sierra Designs after most recently working with Massif Mountain Gear. Trombly also spent time at MSR and Patagonia. Flora previously designed products for Columbia Sportswear and Dick's Sporting Goods.
  • GU Energy Labs, in Berkeley, Calf., hired Colin True as its new national sales manager. True transitions from a similar post at Probar, and also previously worked at Waterbox and City Sports.
