SNEWS® Live: What would you do if faced with a choice: loose a limb, an arm or a leg, now or endure possibly endless surgeries in order to save it? There are no guarantees you'll ever have full use of it again. In fact, you probably won't. If you choose amputation, how will you lead the rest of your life?

Fortunately, one outreach program for the disabled, Paradox Sports, provides those considering amputation with guidance and support in making that tough decision. In addition to creating opportunities for outdoor activities ranging from rock climbing to downhill skiing, the group also provides positive examples of how fulfilling life can be in spite of a disability.

SNEWS® Live connected with U.S. Army staff sergeant Chad Jukes to learn how he managed to cope with the loss of his lower right leg.
