SNEWS® Live: On a beautiful summer day in August, almost 70 fitness professionals gathered at the Green Valley Ranch Golf course in Denver, Colorado. Just a day before the 2007 Health and Fitness Business show, these
industry leaders hit the links in groups of four to put a little muscle and money behind a great cause.

The 2nd annual SNEWS® Golf Scramble at Health & Fitness Business rallied support for the foundation started by the one of the fitness industry’s own, Augie Nieto, Life Fitness founder and now Octane Fitness chair, who was diagnosed with ALS in early 2005. Augie’s Quest aims to take a few swings at ALS, a mysterious aliment commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Though fighting the debilitating effects of ALS himself, Nieto is leading the battle to raise money for research that will one day find a cure.

Armed with clubs, retail and manufacturer business competitors partnered in the Golf Scramble for a little friendly competition off the show floor. SNEWS® Live was on the scene to bring you the story.
