Do you want to win more than $1,000 worth of product prizes, and perhaps an all-expense paid trip to Salt Lake City in 2007 to attend Outdoor Retailer Winter Market and get in some prime time winter recreation? If you are working the sales floor of an outdoor retail store, SNEWS® and our illustrious team of sponsors are just waiting to fill your gear closet with more booty than a pirate could dream up.

Yeah, we're talking a waterproof/breathable jacket from Event, shoes from Timberland, socks and base layers from SmartWool, gloves from Manzella, travel clothing and sportswear from ExOfficio, technical fleece apparel from Polartec, fabric and shoe care products from Nikwax, sport rack products from Yakima, and more. We'll even give the store with the most contest entries $500 toward a store party.

What do you have to do? It's so easy even we can't believe it. All that is required is for you, a retail salesperson, to submit a first-person story of a funny customer experience you've had, ranging from 250 to 500 words via the official SNEWS® contest entry form page at www.snewsnet.com/contest. You must be a SNEWS® subscriber to enter, but even that is free -- all you have to do is visit www.snewsnet.com/freeretail/snewsarticle-contest.html -- and we'll activate your subscription within 24 hours.

Entries are already rolling in. Click here to read the latest one.

Authors of the 10 best stories (as decided by our illustrious panel of judges) will each receive over $1,000 worth of product prizes (dollar value is MSRP). One of those 10 will be named the grand prize winner and, in addition to the product prizes, cash in on a trip for two to Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2007. Three others will be named official "honorable mentions" and, in addition to the valuable prizes, each will receive a gift certificate that can be redeemed toward attendance at an Outdoor Industry Association-sponsored event such as Outdoor University, Mountain Sports Festival or the OIA Rendezvous. The grand prize winner and honorable mentions will be announced at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2006.

Don't delay! You know you have the story that's going to win it all. Enter it now at www.snewsnet.com/contest.
