Cascade Designs has pledged to donate $150,000 in gear to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Nearly 4,000 Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads have been distributed to hurricane victims in Louisiana and Mississippi. And, 12,000 Platypus water bottles have been sent to Water Missions International, an organization with 14 water-purification stations set up in rural areas near the Mississippi Gulf Coast and New Orleans.

Nite Hawk Lighting, a small family-owned company in Canada, donated 40 headlamps to Buffalo Peak Outfitters in Mississippi to be distributed to professionals involved in relief efforts (police, firefighters, etc.) and caregivers.
