In a story on Nike's ACG division in the Portland Business Journal on Sept. 9, writer Natasha Nowakowski decribes how ACG was "born from the notion of creating all-weather footwear for play in the cold rainy winters of the Northwest." But that it diverted from that and soon found itself producing product that didn't fit anywhere else at Nike, including snowboard boots and skateboard sneakers. "Those days are gone. ACG has since repositioned itself as a three-season outdoor company producing niche products for trail, river and snow-related activities.
