In an ongoing effort to be an even better resource for the fitness industry, GearTrends® has signed on with the Health & Fitness Business Expo & Conference as an educational partner.

As part of the agreement, GearTrends® and its insider news voice, SNEWS®, will help show management develop an industry panel discussion the first morning of the August show in Denver, will work with the show on promotion, and will consult on other aspects of the show to make it better and more fun.

"SNEWS®/GearTrends® are great business resources for the fitness industry," said An Le, marketing director for VNU show management overseeing the fitness show. "Their deep industry insight and capabilities will ensure that the industry panel seminar at the 2005 conference will be highly productive and relevant to the challenges and opportunities we all face in this market.

"The SNEWS® online news and GearTrends® publications also provide a superior communication channel for the fitness industry in the website and magazines," Le added. "They will help us communicate important show information to the fitness community more effectively."

The GearTrends® team is excited to be a part of the show planning and to share its insights about the industry to help build and maintain the only fitness-focused retail show.

"We see and hear from suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, dealers and others in the industry constantly about what they want and like," said GearTrends® co-publisher Therese Iknoian. "With that inside knowledge and pipeline that only our team has, we hope to infuse a new sense of energy, education and, of course, fun to this year's show."

Expect in the next few months to see more news about panel topics and other show floor events (remember last year's Friday afternoon beer keg and happy hour sponsored by GearTrends®? Just wait…). If you have any input about what you would like to see or have any comments or critique, fire those emails and calls our way so we can work with show management to make the Health & Fitness Business Expo the best it can be.

Contact co-publishers Therese Iknoian (therese@snewsnet.com) or Michael Hodgson (michael@snewsnet.com), or call 530-268-8295.
