Fitness Showrooms now has its own line of equipment, called Hudson Steel -- recently debuted but ready for expansion this year already, SNEWS® has learned. Industry veteran Bill McGinley is the company’s commercial rep. At the website,, products span a range of strength, cardio and accessories under the tagline, “Dynamic Fitness Equipment Solutions.” Showroom execs declined comment to share details, but indicated they may be exhibiting at the upcoming IHRSA show…. 

Dan Wille has been named by Life Fitness vice president, global marketing and brand management. Wille will return to Life Fitness corporate headquarters from the United Kingdom, where he served as country manager since July 2008. Previously, he ran the consumer business unit…. Blast from the past: Michael Hoffman (photo - left), former PR guru with his Heart Communications, told us he’s now a marriage and family therapist and master registered addiction specialist, as well as a level one “Reiki” practitioner. And soon he’ll be Dr. Hoffman to you since he started on a Ph.D. program in fall 2010. That’s one busy guy. Tell him “hi” at ….

James Pomroy, former corporate buyer for Play It Again Sports franchises who created the company’s core fitness program, has fully retired from the business due to his Lou Gehrig’s disease, which he began to deal with two years earlier. He left the company full time in December 2009 after more than a decade. SNEWS emailed with him and he does still consult with the business now and then, and he said he’d love to hear from anybody.
