Cybex International held the groundbreaking ceremony for a new 36-acre office and manufacturing facility in Owatonna, Minn., on Aug. 2…. It's a second girl for Mike May, who does PR for SportsArt Fitness and with other companies for Stanwood & Partners. On Aug. 7, May and his wife (yes, she was a big part of this) brought Elizabeth into the world, which is why May wasn't at the Health & Fitness Business Show! She is 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and "as blonde as can be," says May. "Momma, baby and big sister are doing well. Dad is, of course, smitten." Their oldest daughter, Morgan, is 2….

David Littrell, former director of design for SportsArt Fitness, has left the company to start threeFishdesign LLC. The consulting group will focus on the fitness industry, consumer products and exhibit design, providing intellectual property, industrial, mechanical, graphic and user Interface design. The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association has announced the theme for its 26th Annual International Convention & Trade Show, March 28-31, 2007, in San Francisco, Calif., as “Success by Association.” In other news, IHRSA has launched a so-called IHRSAONE membership for health club industry professionals. It was introduced in early July at Perform Better's Functional Training Summit and the IDEA World Fitness Convention. Known previously as the IHRSA Professional Alliance, IHRSAONE is a renewable annual membership for individual fitness professionals.
