Here’s a strong dose of reality or, at least, reality TV. Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin, of “Kate Plus 8” fame, went camping together in Alaska this year, and their adventure became part of the TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” according to a CNN report. The episode was to air Dec. 5.

“She’s going to rely on me to protect her,” Palin said of Kate in the CNN report. Hmmmm....

As for Gosselin’s experience with the outdoors, she confessed in the show that she has “never camped ... for real.”

So did the Tea Party’s favorite Mama Grizzly and the TV mother of eight get along well in the wilderness?

“The look of horror on Kate’s face as she watches the former governor shoot a rifle gives her away,” CNN reported, adding that Palin said, smiling, “Our ruggedness is really a mystery to people in the lower 48.”
