Word on the street is that Safewater Anywhere was in serious trouble and possibly going out of business. We contacted Sally Newel, vp of marketing who told us nothing could be further from the truth. What has happened is that the company is disastrously backordered because a subcontractor has not delivered goods as needed. That situation is being solved and Safewater expects to be caught up with deliveries by the end of this month or early August (Ed. note -- oh, perfect … just in time for the end of camping season). The company will also be streamlining its program into two bottles by Summer Market. In addition, the company management has reorganized with company founder John Ferguson now focusing on research and development and not on day-to-day operations.
