You know you're too old when this does indeed sound sick and, yes, even twisted -- Professional and amateur skiers and boarders will compete on Jan. 5 in Big Air events, with some athletes launching up to more than three stories in the air off the big jump, at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe. It's all part of the Snowbomb.com Sick & Twisted Big Air Festival, sponsored by Nantucket Nectars, with this event being second in a series of nine held at five different Lake Tahoe area ski resorts over a four-month period. The series continues at Northstar-at-Tahoe on Jan. 20, Jan. 26 and 27 and Feb. 24. Sierra-at-Tahoe also has a Superpipe challenge March 24. Kirkwood will host a Slopestyle/Big Air event Feb. 23 and will wrap up the series with a similar event March 23.
