Perception Kayaks today announced the recipients of its 2001 River Conservationist of the Year Award. The winners are: American Canoe Association, Springfield, Va.; Friends of the Reedy River, Greenville, S.C.; James River Partnership, Springfield, Mo.; Rebecca Kress, Ukiah, Calif.; and Tom Goynes, Martindale, Texas. Perception has been presenting the River Conservationist of the Year Award to leaders in the river conservation community since 1981. This year, the company is making an undisclosed financial contribution to each of the organizations and or individuals to further their work.
