Leave it to the Mountain Hardwear gang on a dealer trip to Escalante in Utah from March 22-25, to up the ante on the term adventure. According to reports, and with You Tube video as evidence, a five-foot wall of water powered down the canyon the Mountain Hardwear dealer outing had selected for exploration.

Dealer trips are typically all about enjoying camaraderie with other retailers and industry reps, learning about and getting to use new gear from the vendor sponsoring the trip, and getting outdoors for some excellent adventuring.

Leave it to the Mountain Hardwear gang on a dealer trip to Escalante in Utah from March 22-25, to up the ante on the term adventure. According to reports, and with You Tube video as evidence, a five-foot wall of water powered down the canyon the Mountain Hardwear dealer outing had selected for exploration, and only through some nifty rope work and cool-under-fire leadership by the guide, Rick Green, did the group narrowly escape a different kind of adventure entirely. Of course, the trouble is, now every dealer trip Mountain Hardwear does from here on will seem tame by comparison. Staged flash floods anyone?
