Many suppliers in the United Kingdom said in a recent survey they believe the specialty outdoor market is static, while the general outdoor market is growing. According to an annual manufacturers' survey released today by U.K.'s outdoor trade newsletter, Outdoor i, more than half, or 52 percent, stated the above, and 93 percent of those who returned the survey (two-thirds return rate), said they believe there is too much product in the marketplace. Ninety-three percent also said they expect more consolidation in the market. The most important issues named that affect a company's future? Product innovation, quality, and technical performance.
